Kirkland Municipal Court DUI

Then you will most likely face a DUI charge in the Kirkland Municipal Court. The Kirkland Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court and was established in 1995, Kirkland Municipal Court hears all criminal misdemeanor cases and processes all non-criminal traffic citations and parking citations for violations occurring within the city limits of Kirkland.

Kirkland Municipal Court also provides court services for the Cities of Clyde Hill, Medina, Hunts Point, and Yarrow Point.

As of June 16, 2014, the Kirkland Municipal Court has a new home located within the Kirkland Justice Center at 11740 NE 118th St, Kirkland, WA 98034. To better serve the needs of Kirkland’s burgeoning population of 80,000 residents, the City developed a site to house both the Municipal Court and the Police Department.  The Kirkland Municipal Court occupies the south-facing portion of the complex and includes two large courtrooms, one small courtroom, a spacious lobby, Judge’s chambers, and staff offices.

The Prosecutor and Kirkland Municipal Court is handled by a private firm that contracts out with the City of Kirkland to provide prosecution services. The Prosecutors have a reputation for being very tough on DUI crimes, however, I have found them to be very pleasant to work with and more than fair.

If you were arrested for a DUI by the Kirkland Police than if you don’t get booked into jail immediately the Court will mail you a letter within a month or two after the arrest notifying you of a court date.
